1)    Philosophy

With the emergence of the new competitive economy, a new paradigm of learning is emerging - one that calls for an approach that is far different from the traditional way of rote learning or pen & paper approach - The Science Buddies Approach.  The Science Buddies Approach focuses on developing learning and analytical skills in students that would be essential in the new economy.

2)    Programmes

The Science Buddies programmes are designed so that students can acquire key
Core Concepts through inquiry- based lessons, develop Solid Foundation, Problem Solving Skills, Memory Skills, Passion and Ability to work with others.

3)    People

At Science Buddies, Buddy Leaders play the important role of an educator, advisor, facilitator and care provider of all students. All our Buddy Leaders are carefully selected to ensure that they perform to fulfill our programmes objectives. In addition to careful selection, Buddy Leaders are extensively trained in Science Buddies Teaching Methodology to conduct all Science Buddies and Math Buddies lessons.

4)    Performance

So far, thousands of students have attended and benefited from the programmes of Science Buddies. Students that have attended our programmes have shown vast improvements in their school results. In addition, students 1) are more knowledeable about their subjects, 2) are quicker in acquiring core concepts, 3) are more skillful in tackling problems, 4) have better memory skills, and 5) have an open & questioning mind. These skills prepare them very well for new project based programmes adopted by Ministry of Education.

5)    Place

Students attending our centres enjoy a bright, comfortable and stimulating learning environment. Our centres are attractively decorated and furnished and are equipped with a wonderful range of teaching resources self-made and imported.

The centre has a Discovery Corner where students are encouraged to engage in hands-on science experiments and activities by themselves. In addition, students are encouraged to observe the different classification of animals, their life cycles, and behaviours at the Animal Sanctuary. Students will also learn the different methods of growing plants and vegetables at our Green Fingers Nursery.
